The World Snooker Championship is back underway as both semi-finals have resumed after finishing 4-4 on Thursday. The morning session between Kyren Wilson and David Gilbert once again failed to separate the pair, before action moved to the tie between 2015 champion Stuart Bingham and Jak Jones.

Bingham and Jones played out a thrilling session on Thursday, with the latter claiming the final frame to set up a tense second session this afternoon, before Wilson and Gilbert return in the best-of-33 ties.

After Ronnie O’Sullivan and Judd Trump were knocked out of the competition earlier this week, a surprise champion will be named this year and each of the final four will have their eyes firmly set on landing the spoils.

Three of the four semi-finalists came through as qualifiers for the first time in the tournament’s history, with snooker’s showpiece set to have an unlikely winner once again after Luca Brecel claimed last year’s title.
