In case you forgot, this is the second year in which the draw takes a league phase format instead of group stages.

That means all 36 teams into one single league table.

Instead of playing three teams twice, home and away, to determine the two teams to advance into the knockouts, every club now plays eight different opponents – four home and four away.

The top eight in the table automatically advance to the round of 16, their eight opponents will come from the teams who finish 9th to 24th.

Those teams will take each other on in a playoff round to determine who advances to the last 16.

The teams 25th to 36th are all automatically eliminated.
