BTS’ Jin To Be Torch Bearer at Paris Summer Olympics 2024? Here’s What We Know

BTS member Kim Seok-jin, aka Jin, who has officially been discharged from South Korea’s mandatory military service, has already been indulged in various activities. As per the latest reports by South Korean news outlets, Jin will carry the torch for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. You heard that right, ARMYs! South Korea will send 142 athletes across 21 sports events. The grand ceremony is scheduled for July 27. According to reports, Jin will join over 11,000 torchbearers from various backgrounds at the event, including Holocaust survivors, astronauts, athletes and relatives of terror attack victims. The torch will travel through 400 different locations and will cover around 12,000 km.

Reacting to the news, Jin’s agency HYBE told Sports Chosun that all information related to the Olympics must go through the consultation of the International Olympics Committee (IOC) before being disclosed to the public. On the work front, Jin will next appear in the reality show I’m Glad You Got a Good Rest, which is also known as Half Star Hotel in Lost Island. The participants in the show go to an abandoned island and have to turn it into a hotel and invite guests.
