Synopsis
Using indigenous proprietary technology, scientists at the institute are slicing the brain down to one-fifth of a human hair to build a bank of images several times sharper in resolution than sophisticated MRI scans. These images can potentially provide path-breaking insights into the onset and progress of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
The 600 acre campus of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, is home to hundreds of plant species and butterflies of myriad hues.
