Luton Town have been knocked back after lodging an enquiry for Coventry City midfielder Ben Sheaf, Express Sport understands.
The Sky Blues are in no mood to sell the former Arsenal academy star, who has gone from strength to strength since leaving the Emirates Stadium in 2021.
It is understood that Coventry immediately shut down Luton’s approach, and 25-year-old Sheaf is content to see out the season in the second tier, where his side are pushing for a spot in the play-offs.
Sheaf, a former England Under-18 international, has scored three goals in 21 Championship appearances so far this campaign.
