Wendy Williams Drops ‘Help’ Note From Facility Window

Former talk show host Wendy Williams was taken from a New York assisted-living facility on Monday after she dropped a note from her room begging for help.

The 60-year-old Williams dropped a note that read “Help! Wendy!” around 11:15 a.m. from her fifth-story room, according to the New York Post.

A short time later, she was photographed walking out of the facility surrounded by a group of police officers who helped her into a waiting ambulance.

Williams has been under a guardianship with a court-appointed caregiver since 2022. The NYPD visit was ordered by a caregiver not associated with the guardianship in order to determine if Williams’ claims of being held prisoner are legit, according to TMZ.

Last month, she made a legal filing in hopes of ending the guardianship, and vowed to go to a jury trial, if necessary.

HuffPost reached to Williams for comment, but no one immediately responded.
