Red Bull have reportedly agreed to purchase a minority stake in Leeds United after sealing an investment which will see the energy drinks firm join the club’s ownership group. The company is already involved in football with a number of teams across the world, including RB Leipzig, Red Bull Salzburg and the New York Red Bulls, among their stable of clubs.

According to The Athletic, a deal has been agreed between Red Bull and Leeds following successful talks with current owners 49ers Enterprises. It will see the global drinks brand purchase a minority stake in the club, while they will also sponsor their shirts from next season onwards.
